New GeM Request for Quote Functionality

The new GeM Request for Quote (RFQ) functionality roll out is
starting today, 16 July 2012.
How RFQ Works
RFQ allows institutions to contact suppliers to carry out request
for quotes on specific items and mini tenders through the GeM
system.
There is a step-by-step
user guide to show you how to use RFQ. We will also be
holding online webinar training sessions the dates for which will
be confirmed shortly.
Contracts Currently Available
We currently have the following agreements are available on RFQ
and access will be based on your permissions to view these
contracts:
- Audio Visual Equipment - Lot 3. Broadcast Systems, design,
supply and install
- HVLE Diffraction Apparatus
- HVLE MRI Scanners
- HVLE NMR Spectrometers
- HVLE Scanning Electron Microscopes
- IRLA General Laboratory Consumables & Chemicals
- IT related Accessories and Parts
- Photographic Equipment and Consumables
RFQ Rollout Process
The roll out process will be phased on an agreement by agreement
basis.
Please email supplieradoption@reading.ac.uk if there are any
suppliers that you would like on as a matter of urgency.
Further communications advising which suppliers are live will be
circulated over the coming weeks.
